Draymond Green names key reason Warriors can deal with Steph Curry’s injury

The Golden State Warriors won Game 1, but the mood around the franchise is one of concern more than jubilation. While beating the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, Steph Curry was injured after just 13 minutes of play and did not return to the game.
Curry's injury status has been revealed, a Grade 1 hamstring strain will likely see him miss a week of playoff action at least. The outcome of this series and their larger season heavily depends on Steph's availability. But Draymond Green thinks they'll figure it out even without the greatest shooter ever.

"We know what Jimmy's capable of, Jimmy's capable of carrying a team, he carried a team to the Finals twice," Green said. "So we won't panic, we'll figure out what it means, we have the best coaching staff in the NBA.
"We know they'll put us in a good spot and let us know what our offense looks like without Steph if we have to go on without him. But we have full confidence in the guys that are on this team, that we can make plays, we can make shots, and we know we got a guy that can make that first domino fall in Jimmy."
Jimmy Butler was the main man on the Miami Heat during their 2020 and 2023 runs to the NBA Finals. If he can take over the scoring burden, at least for this series against his old team, then maybe the Warriors will still be in contention by the time that Steph can return.
