Lakers' Luka Doncic lands massive $25 million mansion in star-studded area

When the Los Angeles Lakers acquired Luka Doncic in a trade, the fanbase was jubilant, but there were also concerns. The Slovenian superstar could have chosen to test free agency a year from now after being betrayed by the Dallas Mavericks, and some were afraid he'd do just that.

The 26-year-old ended all that chatter when he signed a 3-year, $165 million extension with the Mavericks earlier in the offseason. And for any that still had doubts about his long-term plans, his latest $25 million purchase should put an end to all of that.

Using some of that new Lakers money at his disposal, Doncic has purchased a Manhattan Beach home in California that previously belonged to tennis superstar Maria Sharapova. The three-story home was custom-built in 2015 and sits on a quarter-acre lot, quite the luxurious property.

In addition to that, reports suggest that the home has five bedrooms, a swimming pool, and a two-lane bowling alley, among other high-end features. All signs point to only one thing: Doncic sees himself in California for the long haul and is making himself right at home.

After Slovenia was knocked out of EuroBasket by Germany, Luka's focus will turn entirely to the next NBA campaign. He looks ready to prove every one of his doubters wrong, and will go into next season as the MVP favorite. With the way things are shaping up, Luka is set to thrive both on and off the basketball court.
