Air Force at Michigan: Michigan’s performance against Alabama probably had a lot to do with Alabama. Defensively, Greg Mattison has experience facing the option as Notre Dame’s defensive coordinator. Hoke coached against this variation while at San Diego State. The Wolverines should be able to adjust and shut them down. Air Force, on the other hand, does not have the talent to keep up with Michigan’s offense. The cover might be a coin flip, but Michigan should win this comfortably.

Purdue at Notre Dame: The Irish are two-touchdown favorites. We like Purdue to cover for two reasons. Notre Dame has a frighteningly thin secondary. Navy’s quarterback completed 14/19 and threw for 192 yards. Purdue can exploit that. Purdue is far stronger up front than Navy. While the Irish may have incorporated more of a power running game, they should fore Everett Golson to do more than he did against the Midshipmen.
