It’s Good to Have You Back, TV Sports Ratings Twitter Feed!
Back in May, the wildly popular – well, for people who enjoy the media – TV Sports Ratings twitter feed mysteriously vanished. It’s back! And that’s fantastic news, because where else would we find delicious nuggets like this?
This quarter, including Olympics, NBCS is averaging fewer viewers than BIO, Oprah channel + the Travel channel?how is this possible?

Fledgling is the word to describe the NBC Sports Network, which right now is an abject failure. If the NHL lockout continues … gulp. Wonder if they have the rights to re-run Notre Dame games from the last 30 years?

White women love cable television.

So did his ratings improve or not? Because if this holds true, his chances of saving the network are as dead as Alec Guinness.

I didn’t even know this was a channel.

Now, this announcement would get my hopes up.

Truthier.

On DirecTV, it’s down in the 800s. I’m never in that neighborhood during the day unless a Denise Austin re-run is on.

On my TV it is Channel 38. Right where Versus was and in the vicinity of the ESPNs and Fox Sports.

I didn’t even know this was a channel.
They were showing Harvard and Brown on Saturday. I watched a lot of the game. It was actually quite entertaining.
September 27th, 2012 at 5:32 PM
I laughed.
I never go past HBO unless it’s for Sunday Ticket. I didn’t even know there were 800s. Imagine all the extra TV I could be watching.

On DirecTV, it’s down in the 600s.
Fat-fingered the heck out of that. I sit corrected.

I realized my cable has channels in the ridiculously high numbers as well. After some investigation, I found out why so few know about them. There’s not much on them worth mentioning.

The 800s are the music channels on DirecTV. Cool for the background when Im cleaning the apt (which ain’t as frequent as need be).

SROD, I forgot about the music channels. Those are in the high ones for Comcast, too. I like listening to the smooth jazz station. I know this may sound weird but it reminds me of elevator/weather channel music, and I do enjoy it.

Monster, that is a good call.
I like the modern country, classic R&B & hair metal ones (Winger!).
I saw either on the Weather Channel website or somewhere else, the soundtrack list of backing tunes they use. Some pretty nice stuff on that list.

For some reason, the Comment Monster is eating up my posts.

I was responding to SROD’s Denise Austin reverie, and TBL Censor did not like that.

Dang, she’s still got it. As does her daughter.

Those 600 sports channels are a clusterfuck of blackouts…

Really? I always wondered how to go about finding that out. I guess as soon as I’m done watching the weather channel I forget about it and never remember to actually put forth any effort to find out.

The only music channel I keep on my favorites (Time Warner) is jazz. And not smooth jazz; jazz jazz. Everything from Coltrane to Thelonius to Ornette Coleman.
Helps me mellow out.
September 27th, 2012 at 5:54 PM
jazz jazz.
I can listen to both. Just like that smooth jazz.
