The New York Jets are coming off one of the most disappointing seasons in NFL history. With the addition of Aaron Rodgers during the 2023 NFL offseason, expectations were through the roof. Then Rodgers got hurt during the season opener and things fell apart.

Zach Wilson, Trevor Siemian and Tim Boyle each took snaps for the Jets on their way to a 7-10 season, while Rodgers continued to float the possibility that he could return in time for the postseason. The truth is he was never close and neither were the Jets. With Rodgers actually coming back next season, the Jets can focus on some other areas of need. Classic things like improving the offensive line and defense. Maybe they can find some new weapons for their star quarterback.

In order to do that, some tough decisions must be made and some players will not return in 2024. Here are five players who probably won't be back for a potential run at the playoffs next season.
