Ronda Rousey Will Coach the Next Season of The Ultimate Fighter
On Saturday night during UFC 158, Dana White announced that Ronda Rousey would be a coach on the next season of The Ultimate Fighter. Rousey will coach against the winner of the upcoming Miesha Tate – Cat Zingano fight. In addition to Rousey and Tate or Zingano being the first ever female coaches on TUF, the season will feature both 135-pound men and women.
TUF 18 will serve many purposes. The first, of course, is more exposure for Rousey. On top of that, the show will help promote her upcoming fight and opponent. Also, the UFC gets another 8 or 16 potential fighters for the female bantamweight division which currently consists of Ronda Rousey, Liz Carmouche and seven other women who have never actually fought in the UFC.
Then there is the fact that people might actually watch TUF. Probably not, but I’m sure that’s the idea. Just look at Joe Rogan’s reaction. It’s crazy! Men and women living in a house together isn’t exactly groundbreaking, but men and women who fight for a living? It could be… interesting. Or a special kind of train wreck. Either way, more Ronda Rousey can’t be a bad thing for the UFC.

Man I hope it’s Tate. Those two genuinely hate each other.
