Ray Rice’s Amazing Fourth Down Conversion Sent The Ravens to an Overtime Win Over the Chargers
Ray Rice. Legend.
Joe Flacco and Norv Turner, summed up in one play, with a major helping of Ray Rice. It’s fourth and 29, Baltimore must go inside the two minute warning, and Joe Flacco checks it down to Rice, who then manages to pick up over 25 yards on sheer determination and effort.
The spot was reviewed, and moved back, though I thought it was still generous. Even after the re-measurement, the first down was awarded. Rice’s knees hit short of the 35, and he’s neither 7 foot tall nor laying flat on the ground. Still, great play that kept these Ravens in the game, as they sent it to overtime with a tying field goal, then won it in overtime.
Baltimore, somehow, is 9-2 and still in second place in the AFC.

I realize that he isn’t on the field missing tackles, but how the f#ck is Norv Turner still the head coach? How! They have basically burned thru River’s and Tomlinson’s prime years with Turner as the coach.

I liked how Antonio Gates played decoy throughout the game.

I’m horribly biased being a Ravens fan and all, but this fucking ruled.
And the refs were terrible. All the same, don’t let it get that close.

I think history will reveal that Norv’s offensive gameplan and surrounding talent at the skill positions compensated for Rivers through those years you speak of.

speaking of throws the running back…i think the screen pass to bradshaw last night on the giants first drive was the first time i saw a screen pass work for them since Tiki Barber played. and it wasn’t even run correctly.
