Joshua Morgan’s Unsportsmanlike Penalty Costs Redskins Chance to Tie Game Against Rams
Did Sam Bradford have his coming of age game today? Danny Amendola had 15 catches, and Bradford threw for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Rams rallied for a 31-28 victory over the Redskins. Washington had a 21-6 lead in the second quarter, before Bradford began dicing up the ‘Skins.
Washington looked to be in trouble until rookie Darryl Richardson fumbled. Richardson was in the game because Jeff Fisher benched Steven Jackson for the rest of the game after his spike penalty. As it turned out, that would not be the most eventful unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the game.
After the turnover gave them life (Washington had no timeouts remaining at the time), the Redskins moved the ball down into field goal range when Joshua Morgan caught a pass that came up just short of a first down. However, after infamous instigator Cortland Finnegan (who you may remember from the Andre Johnson beatdown) gave a subtle rake of the face mask, Morgan got up and fired the ball at him.
Fifteen yard penalty, 4th and 16, and a 62 yard attempt or going for it. Shanahan opted to try the desperation field goal, which would have been one yard short of the record, but Billy Cundiff wasn’t even close.

Two observations:
1) Faith Hill’s skirt needs to be about one-quarter shorter.
2) I don’t understand the hubbub over Kate Middleton’s tits. It’s her fine azz that deserves all the attention.

Sweet opening by the Niners. How did Detroit forget to cover Davis coming downfield?

Nada it’s awesome because no one gave the Cards a chance. beyond that, still a long way to go this season, but if the Card’s D plays like that all season, they’ll end up in the playoffs.

I’ll go on the record now and say that the 49ers are the best team in the NFC, probably the NFL. That pains me to admit as a Cardinals fan, but it’s the truth

Fisher says he had a groin injury. No idea how likely I think that explanation is, just FYI
