Steven Jackson Spiked Ball After Potential Touchdown, But Replacement Officials Called No Touchdown and Penalty
Steven Jackson appeared to have scored a touchdown with the Rams trailing 14-3. He extended the ball across the goal when his knees were not down. While waiting for a call, he spiked the ball in frustration. The replacement officials ruled no touchdown, and flagged Jackson for unsportsmanlike conduct, knocking the Rams back to 4th and 16 instead of 4th and inches. There was no challenge.
We’ll see if the indecisiveness and apparent incorrect call costs the Rams in what is shaping up as a wild game.

The fix is in for the Skins this season with RG3.

The fix is in for the Skins this season with RG3.
As long as they win this one by 4, that’s fine by me.

The fix is in for the Skins this season with RG3. Vlad
The replacement refs are too inept for this.

I’d be angry about this for Fantasy Football purposes, if I didn’t already have RG3 and Victor Cruz this week.
/relaxes during the rest of Sunday and Monday

Wait, isn’t this the correct call? You can’t get pissed and spike the ball.

if it’s a TD then it’s no flag
but if they ruled it a TD it would have been reviewed anyway. they need to change the rule to also include goal line plays.

and how is it that when the Ravens lose it’s always someone else’s fault?

huge defensive series here for the Jets. game is slipping away.

It was primarily the officials’ fault the ravens lost today. Refs took a TD off the board that would have put Baltimore up by 10 with four minutes to play, effectively ending the game. Due to an incorrect call, the ravens had to kick a field goal, losing by 1.
I understand it’s not popular to complain about officials, and anyone who does is automatically an idiot whiner etc. But that blown call directly cost Baltimore the win.

Ravens collected four turnovers. Defense allowed Vick to go down the field at the end to take the lead. Joe Flacco had to drive maybe fifty yards in order to get Justin Tucker a chance at a field goal to win. LOL at your usage of the word “primarily”.

The Ravens had ample opportunity, on their own, to win that game.
Hell, the Eagles were practically trying to appease the ghost of Art Modell for the past two weeks with the turnovers they handed to the Browns and Ravens.
If the Ravens couldn’t take advantage of 4 turnovers, they deserve to lose, regardless of the shitty calls. Which went both ways, BTW.

Bigger crybaby fans when things go badly: Pats or Ravens?
September 16th, 2012 at 7:22 PM
It doesn’t matter. The ample opportunities line is bullshit. They did what they needed to do to win the game and were cheated out of the victory they earned. Teams shouldn’t have to score twice. The Ravens went up 10 with four minutes left to win the game. Due the only reason the Eagles had a chance to win was because of that blown call. Therefore it was the officials fault.
everyone saying there was plenty of chances can have officials take TDs away from them and see if they still sing that tune.

Also john: there is no deserve. You win or you lose. If the ravens didn’t deserve to win, did then the Eagles and their four turnovers?
Bottom line: the ravens took advantage of the turnovers by going up 10 with four minutes to play, and then their win was taken from them.

Josh Morgan is smart.

Ravens fans are so predictable. Your QB couldn’t get your team into FG range with ample time remaining in a game where you had 4 TO’s you failed to capitalize on. Refs blew calls both ways and they suck, but look in the mirror.

Jeff Fisher is a dumbass. Benching Jackson for a PF penalty? That’ll win over the locker room, tough guy. You don’t think Jackson knows he fucked up?
