One of my favorite traditions in soccer is when the players walk out onto the field hand-in-hand with children in the team’s uniform. Music blares. Everyone shakes hands. It’s a nice way to start things off.

During the pregame to Sunday’s Everton/Tottenham Premier League match at Goodison Park, a young kid in Everton colors walked the handshake line and made sure to let his feelings toward the refs be known with the ol’ five finger salute.

It would have been a lot funnier if the refs, in the spirit of the moment, flashed a red card at the kid.
