You Can Buy Half a Million Beers at the Battle at Bristol

The Battle at Bristol, the biggest college football game ever, takes place on Saturday. Virginia Tech and Tennessee will draw some 150,000 fans to the NASCAR venue and those people are going to be expected to consume a lot of beer. 545,000 beers to be exact.

Now, I have no idea how many beers are ordered for a regular racing event at Bristol Motor Speedway, but it has to be in the same ballpark. Er… speedway. By my calculations, that’s 3.4 beers per person and I’m guessing some people will be too young, too sober, or too driving to have any beer.
