Yasiel Puig Wore Cleats with Vin Scully's Face on Them

Vin Scully is being honored in myriad ways during his farewell season as everyone tries to figure out what to get the man who has every baseball memory. Dodgers outfielder and snazzy dresser Yasiel Puig found a unique way to pay homage Sunday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Puig wore cleats with Scully’s face and the phrase “win for Vin” on them. Players did not do such things in 1950, when Scully began calling Dodgers games.

Puig went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in a 6-5 loss so his footwear didn’t exactly yield any good luck. But, hey, it’s the thought that counts.
