Tony Romo tried to slide in preseason. He got hit. He came up clutching his back and left the field. This is probably not what Jerry Jones meant by the Cowboys running the ball to keep Romo healthy.
The Cowboys are 15-4 in Romo’s last 19 starts, though the 36-year-old started just four games in 2015.
