VIDEO: The San Diego Padres Blew a Late 10-Run Lead to Seattle

The Mariners overcame a 12-2 sixth-inning deficit to defeat the Padres Thursday night. It was the largest comeback in Seattle history and the largest lead San Diego had ever blown.
Kyle Seager hit a two-run double and Dae-Ho Lee blasted a three-run homer in the top of the sixth to halve the lead down to five. The Mariners then rapped out seven consecutive two-out singles in the seventh to take a 16-12 lead.
“We were just setting there and we kept getting hit after hit after hit,” Mariners starter Wade Miley said “You never feel like we’re out of a game with this offense. I wouldn’t want to face ’em and I’m sure the other guys don’t either. It was never-ending and fun to watch.”
Well, for one side. The Padres had a different view of things.
"“It’s one of those things that’s borderline inexplicable,” Padres manager Andy Green said. “I’ve been around baseball a long time. You don’t see teams come back from 10. That’s just not something that happens very often.”"
The Cleveland Indians mounted the biggest rally in Major League history when they erased a 12-run lead back in 2001. The 2009 Oakland A’s were the last team to win after trailing by double digits.
