VIDEO: LeBron James Coached the Cleveland Cavaliers

David Blatt began the season as head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tyronn Lue is now — officially — the man in charge. But nothing has really changed. LeBron James is still calling the shots — as he always has.

James took every available opportunity to instruct his teammates while sitting out last night’s game against the Houston Rockets, and looked quite comfortable doing it.

The very public display shouldn’t surprise anyone. Sitting on the bench quietly while wearing street clothes isn’t LeBron’s thing. It was also likely a productive exercise. James knows a ton about the game and is already seen as a puppetmaster.

It’s not as if his performance is going to cause people to suddenly wonder about the power structure in Cleveland. That question’s been asked and answered many, many times.
