It’s all just falling apart for the Nuggets, huh? It seems like just yesterday that they were rolling in the West, a legitimate threat to reach the NBA Finals. Then Danilo Gallinari got hurt in April. The Nuggets were ousted in the first round by the Warriors. Then, their GM, who had a built a nice, star-less team, bolted for Toronto. George Karl, who had just won the NBA’s Coach of the Year award, couldn’t reach a new contract deal with the team, and left. Andre Iguodala, their best defender, ended up in Golden State via a sign-and-trade.
As quickly as was all built, it has crumbled.
