Toronto's Eric Thames Fouled A Pitch Into His Own Face

Ouch. Eric Thames fouled an inside pitch off his own face today. From Slam Sports:

“I got away with a little something there,” Thames said of the scary moment when the ball hit him right in the eye, splitting his eyelid open.
“I’ve seen similar players who’ve broken cheek bones, stuff like that. I got off lucky. It looks worse than it actually is. We’ll see how it is (Monday).”

Thames was removed from the game, but should be OK.
