Tim Tebow to Sign With Eagles Per Jay Glazer

The Eagles apparently plan to sign Tim Tebow tomorrow. This move is the latest in a series of a high profile roster upheaval by Chip Kelly this offseason, which has also seen the Eagles acquire Byron Maxwell, Sam Bradford, DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews, Walter Thurmond, and Kiko Alonso. At the start of camp, Tebow would seem to be the fourth quarterback on the depth chart behind Bradford, Mark Sanchez, and Matt Barkley (though, according to Adam Schefter, who has confirmed the impending deal, the Eagles originally had planned to trade Barkley to make space for Tebow).

While it’s still far from a sure thing for Tebow to make the Eagles’ regular season roster, one imagines that Chip Kelly could find creative uses for him out of the backfield.
