Tim Tebow, one of the most popular athletes in the last decade, will be speaking at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland next week according to the New York Times.

Donald Trump, who is running for President against Hillary Clinton, somehow lured Tebow to be a speaker along with another big name from the sports world: Dana White, the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Also speaking will be women’s golfer Natalie Gulbis, according to the Times.

Tebow will be the name that makes headlines because the former Heisman Trophy-winning QB at the University of Florida could have a future in politics. His pro football career didn’t last long – he did win a playoff game in Denver before struggling with the Jets – but he’s immensely well-liked by fans and one of the most click-able athletes in sports … even though he’s barely played in the last couple years.

And for those who don’t follow politics, Florida is perhaps the most important state in the election.
