Officers, who said they smelled alcohol on the cornerback’s breath and observed bloodshot eyes, reported that Jennings said he had stopped drinking at 2 am, and was no longer drunk. The cornerback nonetheless refused to consent to a breathalyzer or various field sobriety tests. He was charged with speeding, reckless driving, and DUI.
