Tiger Woods Playing Practice Round at Augusta Today, May Play in the Masters [UPDATE: He's Playing]

[UPDATE: Tiger Woods just announced on his website that he’s playing in the Masters.]

Tiger Woods is playing a practice round at Augusta today in hopes of being able to play in the Masters next week. Golf fans got excited when Tiger’s private jet was spotted at Augusta airport earlier this week, and they hoped the most popular golfer on the planet would return to the course in the sport’s biggest event.

Woods took an indefinite leave of absence from golf in February, mostly because he’s been playing awful golf for the last year. He hasn’t won a Major since 2008.

No clue if his girlfriend, Olympian Lindsey Vonn, made the trip.
