Three More Indictments in Vanderbilt Sex Crime Case, Including Leading Receiver Chris Boyd

The net continues to widen on the disturbing late-June sexual assault of a 21-year-old woman involving members of the Vanderbilt football team on a campus dorm. Initially four players were dismissed from the team for “a violation of team rules.” A week ago those now ex-players were charged with five counts of aggravated rape and four counts of sexual battery for allegedly raping the unconscious victim. Friday news breaks that three other men will be charged for their involvement, including Commodores receiver Chris Boyd.

From the Tennessean:

"Boyd, 21, is charged with one felony count of being an accessory after the fact. He is essentially accused of taking part in an attempted cover up of the sexual assault through his advice to certain defendants who were indicted last week. Boyd’s representatives have been made aware of the indictment. He is expected to surrender. Criminal Court Judge Steve Dozier set Boyd’s bond at $25,000."

Two other men, Miles Joseph Finley Joseph Dominick Quinzio — both from California — were charged with one felony count of tampering with evidence.
