Greg Hardy has been late to work a lot lately. Today Ian Rapoport tweeted a tremendous story that really put Hardy’s tardiness into perspective in the big picture. It seems Hardy was late to the Cowboys’ Saturday night meeting. Now, some might say that this is the least of his off-field issues, but the Cowboys have stuck by the embattled defensive lineman this season despite loud public and media criticism. Still, people are pleading with Hardy to get his act together.

Everyone close to Greg Hardy has talked to him and advised him, from veteran teammates, to his agent to coach Jason Garrett. Will it work?

Talking and advising just don’t seem to be working. If someone doesn’t get through to Hardy soon, he might make an error so bad that the Cowboys would have no choice but to cut ties. What is that horrific, unimaginable act?
