These Old Photos from SLAM Magazine Are Fantastic

Take a trip down memory lane with hundreds of fabulous pictures from the early- through mid-2000’s editions of SLAM Magazine — though some of the images originate from well before then — which were scanned and uploaded by a Redditor in a project that must’ve taken an untold amount of hours. We’ve pulled a few of our favorites for a gallery, but again there are hundreds more (part 1, part 2, part 3) that you should take a gander at.

Finally, as Deadspin points out, the same user also compiled some wonderful Michael Jordan galleries (rookie, prime) last year. Given MJ’s literally and figuratively enormous stature during my youth, it’s striking to see how small he looks compared to today’s NBA stars. We’ve added a couple of those pictures in at the end of this gallery.
