CNN just now on Hillary's speech tonight: "To use a soccer analogy...if you don't knock it out of the park, you're in trouble."

Hillary Clinton will speak at the Democratic National Convention tonight. Regardless of your political affiliation, it’s easy to appreciate how difficult it is to follow both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama to the podium. Both are dynamic speakers and have held the office Hillary is fighting to win.
So the stakes are high in Philadelphia. How high?
- To use a baseball analogy, if she doesn’t score a touchdown, she’ll be over par.
- To use a hockey analogy, if she doesn’t advance the runner, she’ll be in foul trouble.
- To use a golf analogy, if she doesn’t make the front end of a 1-and-1, she’ll be in the penalty box.
- To use an archery analogy, if she doesn’t make a field goal, she’ll be given a yellow card.
- To use a figure skating analogy, if she doesn’t ice the puck, she’ll miss the cut.
- To use a bowling analogy, if she doesn’t stick the landing, she’ll be down in the count.
- To use a cricket analogy, if she doesn’t break the serve, she’ll be over her skis.
- To use a sailing analogy, if she doesn’t hit for the cycle, she’ll be shorthanded.
Hope that clears things up.
