Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury went on The Hawkcast with A.J. Hawk (H/T Coaching Search). He revealed that one of the ways his staff monitors players on social media is pretending to be cute girls to get players to follow them. Players take the bait because, well, men are idiots.

"“We have fake accounts with cute girls that they add right now, so we can see what’s going on and who’s tweeting what,” he said. “Those are heavily monitored, for sure.” Do the players know? “I think they do, but they can’t resist that,” Kingsbury said, laughing. “A friend request from a cute girl is an automatic follow.”"

Coaches use the accounts to monitor players, not engage in weird catfishing.
