With less than a minute to go in a game between Sweden’s Växjö and Färjestad clubs, a fight broke out. The referees try to break it up get shoved around along with the players. So one referee decides to stop the madness by any means necessary. Falling back on his (many or no) years of Jiu-Jitsu training, the referee locks up a standing guillotine choke on a player and drags him away from the fracas.

The best part is when the player taps. (Submission victory for Swedish Referee! Hooray!) After the ref lets go of the hold, his then starts wagging his finger in the confused player’s face. The camera pans out as we see there are still about a dozen players tangled up near the boards while our hero ref continues to lecture the player on his knees. Who knew hockey was one of the mixed martial arts?
