Sunday Night Football: Vick Returns With Philadelphia to Play In Atlanta

The Eagles were the only team to really handle the Falcons in the regular season last year, until the Packers did it in the playoffs. Remember when Matty Ice couldn’t lose at home? Well, the Falcons have now lost key games to the Saints at the end of last year and to the Packers in their most recent home games.
The key to this one will be whether the Falcons pass defense and particularly the safeties play better. They will have to make tackles and not let the Eagles’ speed get going. On the other side, Atlanta needs to take advantage of the linebackers. I would expect a heavy dose of Turner when the game is close to shorten it. I also think the other backs (Snelling and Rodgers) will play key roles in short routes on linebackers, and slot receiver Harry Douglas will need to come up big, with Roddy White and Julio Jones matched up against corners Asomugha and Samuel.
