"“It’s like the RG3 (Robert Griffin III) comparisons with Andrew Luck,” he said. “RG3 has a stronger arm than Andrew, but Andrew can make all the throws. It’s the same with Josh Nunes. He can make all the throws he needs to. It’s not that his arm is weak. He can throw it 60-65 yards, but all you need to do in a game is throw it 40-45 yards.”"

Texas has also purportedly chosen a starter, sophomore David Ash, according to the Austin-American Statesman. Though, Texas fans should not get too comfortable as Bryan Harsin has confirmed both Ash and McCoy will play in the opener. McCoy had better passing numbers last year, though Ash has a higher ceiling and was thrust into starting last year as a true freshman with very few reps.

Notre Dame has not announced a starting quarterback yet, though, frankly, we’re more interested to see how they will be able to play nickel with Lo Wood out for the season. Their road trips to Oklahoma and USC should be fun.
