Some Steelers Fans Accusing Retired RB Isaac Redman of Losing the Playoff Game

Fitzgerald Touissant, the undrafted free agent running back who has more postseason career carries than regular season carries, after being pressed into duty after injuries at the running back position, had a key fumble late in yesterday’s loss at Denver that led to the go-ahead touchdown. Fitzgerald Touissant wears #33.

Isaac Redman is a former Pittsburgh running back who also wore #33, and who last played in 2013 (3 games and 10 total carries), before retiring.

You can obviously understand the confusion, so today, some Pittsburgh hardcore fans who clearly follow everything about the team have tracked down Redman and are tweeting at him for losing the playoff game in Denver.

The other possibility is that these fans have been in a coma since the last loss at Denver, to the Tim Tebow version following the 2011 season. Redman had to play a key role in that one, because of Rashard Mendenhall’s injury. Sure, he had over 100 yards and didn’t lose a fumble, but if he would have done some things better, maybe Pittsburgh doesn’t lose that game. I’d give him more like 80% responsibility.
