SEC 2013 Schedule Released: Winners and Losers

Midway through one SEC schedule, we can’t wait to see the next one. The SEC slate for 2013 has been released. Here’s a break down of the winners and losers.
South Carolina [Winner] Florida and Georgia both play LSU. The Gamecocks drew Arkansas and Mississippi State. The Georgia game returns to the Mark Richt suspension zone on Sept. 7. They also get two months between the Georgia and Florida games, instead of within three weeks and having LSU as the sandwich.
Alabama [Winner] Pencil the Tide into 2013 BCS Title Game. Their SEC East Draw is Tennessee (home) and Kentucky (away), again avoiding Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. They play LSU in Tuscaloosa. Virginia Tech will be their only viable non conference team.
Texas A&M [Winner] The Aggies get a rough opener with Alabama at home, but three of their SEC road games – Arkansas, Ole Miss, Missouri – are winnable. Their other SEC east opponent is Vanderbilt at home.
Arkansas [Loser] The Razorbacks get Florida and South Carolina from the SEC East on consecutive weeks, sandwiched between Texas A&M and Alabama. Their next coach could be staring at an 0-4 start in the SEC with a road trip to LSU still awaiting him.
Georgia [Loser] Unlike recent years, the Dawgs will be tested and tested early. They will face South Carolina, LSU and Clemson before Oct. 1. Worth noting: Georgia’s last defeat of a very good to great team was Florida in 2007.
Kentucky [Loser] The Wildcats start the SEC season with Florida (home), South Carolina (away) and Alabama (home). Good luck with that!
LSU [Loser] The Tigers have rival Florida (home) and Georgia (away) from the SEC East. Their away trip to Starkville is sandwiched between those two games. They also play Alabama on the road. Uphill climb for the Tigers.
Tennessee [Loser] Tennessee’s next coach will see five FBS opponents from Sept. 14 through Oct. 26: (at) Oregon, (at) Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, (at) Alabama.
