Oakland Athletics closer Sean Doolittle is a big Star Wars fan. Actually, you know what? I’m not going to dance around it. Doolittle is more than that — he’s the epitome of a Star Wars nerd.
His girlfriend, Eireann Dolan, is significantly less interested in the film franchise.
But being part of a couple means making sacrifices from time to time. And last night Dolan graciously agreed to attend the latest installment with Doolittle. What a trooper.
The outing made for an interesting juxtaposition of emotions.
