Cocktail Party: Certain alumni groups would prefer a more tolerant venue than Jacksonville. A big game from Jarvis Jones would help Georgia shed the soft defense reputation. They are also hoping to rid themselves of the reputation for not showing up against good opponents. Mike Bianchi praises Will Muschamp for turning Urban Meyer’s rag-tag top five recruiting classes into a viable football team. Aaron Murray will be the best quarterback the revamped Gator defense faces this season.
USC at Arizona: This is a trap game ahead of Oregon, one that could make or break USC’s season. Arizona’s defense has no answer for USC’s wide receiver tandem, but the Wildcats have been competitive against a rough schedule and have a quarterback that can keep them in the game.
