Rory McIlroy May Start Doing Squats with Brandel Chamblee on His Back
By Michael Shamburger

Rory McIlroy just couldn’t help himself and took another shot at Brandel Chamblee after Chamblee questioned his weightlifting routine. Chamblee, who’s quotes you can read in full here, basically said that he is going to end up like Tiger if he keeps up the heavy lifting.
When asked on Wednesday before the Northern Trust Open began if he’d “done any squats today,” McIlroy said, “not yet, but I’m planning to. Maybe with Brandel on my back.”
Gary Player, who has nine major wins, is quite fit himself, and was featured in ESPN the Magazine’s Body Issue, has Rory’s back.

I’m not so sure that winning 14 major championships and countless other golf tournaments like Tiger is a bad thing, so keep it up Rory.
McIlroy is currently tied for seventh after the first round at the Northern Trust Open.
