RGIII is Still Not Cleared From His Preseason Concussion

Robert Griffin III suffered a concussion in a preseason game against the Lions on August 20th when defensive lineman Corey Wootten landed on him. The Redskins QB stayed down for a bit, then left the field and days later was declared just fine for the team’s 3rd preseason game.

But just 24 hours before that game, a neurologist withheld clearing RGIII for the game, and it’s now been almost three weeks and RGIII is still not cleared.

There are probably 16 million reasons to use extreme caution with RGIII, but to simply not clear him from a concussion he was previously cleared from? This is just embarrassing.

The good news is, since the RGIII disaster popped at the end of August and earlier this month, all has been quiet on the Washington front this week. They open the season at home Sunday against Miami.
