Rex Ryan in Bare Feet Bliss, Darth Belichick and The Brady Crunch

A fun, active week of traded barbs between the Jets and the Patriots has come to a close with more hilarity, as newspapers in both cities stepped up to the plate this morning with some pretty funny covers.
To no surprise, Bill Belichick looks so natural in a costume from the Dark Side he could probably also pass for a young version of the Emperor before his skin pigment and declining age fittingly betrayed him. The caricatures from the Daily News are amazing, particularly the PMS’ing Brady and the devilishly giddy Cromartie, and the cover shot from the Boston Metro looks as though it came from a real photoshoot simply because Rex Ryan looks so god damn elated to be surrounded by an endless army of toes to taste.
So even if you have no real rooting interest in this game, you have to admit its been one hell of an entertaining week, though I know there will still be a few miserable bastards who will insist it all sucked and that you’d prefer both teams be swept up by a family of pterodactyls during the first quarter on Sunday, never to be seen again.
