Of the dozens of alarming aspects that have emerged from the Jonathan Martin-Richie Incognito story, the allegations that Incognito sexually harassed a volunteer at a Dolphins charity golf outing, “rubbing her privates with a golf club and knocking a pair of sunglasses off her head”, were particularly concerning.

As the alleged victim has declined to talk about the incident, it stood to reason that the case was settled out of court for a considerable sum. That amount, reports Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald, was “in the ballpark of $30,000”.

Incognito remains suspended from the Dolphins team, but Chris Mortensen just said on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown that his teammates “still want him back”.
