Raheem Sterling Faked the Manchester City Defense Out of Their Shorts, Gave Liverpool an Early Lead
By Mike Cardillo
Raheem Sterling put Liverpool ahead 1-0 inside of ten minutes against Manchester City in a game that will likely decide the EPL Title. The patience displayed by Sterling to shimmy and fake out both Vincent Kompany and keeper Joe Hart was mighty impressive.
Liverpool made it 2-0 in the 27th minute on a goal by Martin Skrtel on a corner taken by Steven Gerrard.
Anfield is already in full voice — and hasn’t let up — following a touching pregame ceremony honoring the 96 lives lost during the Hillsborough Tragedy in 1989.
