Rachel Banham is making a name for herself in Minnesota. The Golden Gophers’ senior guard tied an NCAA record earlier this month when she scored 60-points in a double-overtime win over Northwestern. On Monday she hit a game-winning buzzer-beater that was impressive enough to earn a compliment from Kobe Bryant. Banham is 3rd in the nation in scoring at 26.1 points per game according to ESPN. (Minnesota’s site has her at 28.6 through February 11th, so she’s probably moved up.) She’s also averaging over 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
