The New York Mets are in first place in the NL East and have beaten the Phillies in 10 of 11 games so far this season. On Monday, the Mets hit 8 home runs in a huge comeback victory. On Tuesday, Travis d’Arnaud flipped his bat after a walk. The Mets again came all the way back to win the game. In the 7th, tempers flared, benches wandered to the top of the dugout steps and Larry Bowa got tossed. Before leaving, Bowa had some choice words for Daniel Murphy. Specifically, what looked like a promise that he’d get hit in the ribs with a pitch if the bat-flipping bullshit didn’t stop. Again, the Mets lead the season series over the last-place Phils, 10-1.
