Peyton Manning threw on Sunday, and we’re starting to see the media leaks that he’s “rapidly getting healthy.” Of course, as Jon Gruden points out in this ESPN video, if Manning were fully healthy we’d be hearing about live practice as opposed to seeing leaked footage of him throwing the ball at nets.

It goes without saying there’s a profound difference between this tape and real game speed. Even acknowledging this reality, Manning is moving a little gingerly.

Nevertheless, the Broncos enter tonight’s contest having lost two in a row, and Brock Osweiler has struggled in recent weeks. If they get shellacked at home by AJ McCarron and the Bengals today, you just know the Manning Machine will be fully humming. The Broncos would have a genuinely difficult decision to make about next week’s Chargers game that they’ll need for their lives:

If Osweiler and/or the Broncos falter tonight, this weekend’s allegations will already be an afterthought by the time the conversation shifts to whether Peyton Manning be Denver’s starter.
