Peyton Manning Still Has Not Been Interviewed by NFL Regarding HGH Allegations

Peyton Manning has yet to be interviewed by the NFL regarding the HGH allegations made in an Al-Jazeera documentary in December, according to Christine Brennan of USA Today Sports. The league has likewise not interviewed any of the other NFL players implicated in that report: James Harrison, Clay Matthews, Mike Neal, and Julius Peppers.  Manning confirmed at the Super Bowl that he had not been contacted yet, and even now, after his retirement, and five months after the allegations surfaced, the league has still not questioned him.

Have no fear, though, because the NFL told Brennan they were on it.

“It’s our expectation that we will interview the players involved over the next month or so,” spokesman Joe Lockhart said, in noting that they will be discussing the timing with the union. Lockhart claims the league is doing “extensive forensic” work on it.

Here’s your reminder that the Deflate-Gate matter (which is still not finalized through the appelate process) took less time to forensically investigate from start (AFC Championship Game) to the release of the Wells Report last May, than the current one which hasn’t even involved interviews yet.
