Peyton Manning is back! The NFL’s interception leader – despite missing the last six games – has been thrust into the lineup for Brock Osweiler as the Broncos trail the Chargers, 13-7 in the 3rd quarter.

Denver scored on its first possession, then was driving for another when Emmanuel Sanders fumbled at the 10-yard line. It’s been all downhill there for Denver, which hasn’t been able to protect Osweiler, and he’s thrown two interceptions and fumbled.

At stake: The 1st seed in the AFC. A Denver win gives them the #1 seed – New England lost today – but a loss would drop them all the way to the 5th seed if Kansas City hangs on to beat the Raiders (currently 21-10).

Manning, 39, hasn’t played since November 15th, when he threw four interceptions and completed only five passes in a loss.
