Penn State Beat Ohio State in Columbus With a Jumper in the Final Seconds of OT

Penn State junior guard D.J. Newbill, who had 25 points and eight rebounds on the night, drilled a jumper from the elbow to give the Nittany Lions a 71-70 lead over Ohio State with less than two seconds remaining in overtime.

Penn State had entered the night at 1-6 in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes, who were ranked as high as no. 3 back in December, has now dropped five of their past six after starting the year 15-0.
