Odell Beckham Jr. Should Smile Less

The Pittsbrugh Steelers beat the New York Giants on Sunday. During the game, Odell Beckham Jr. was seen smiling after his good friend Antonio Brown scored a touchdown in the second quarter. The New York Post pointed out that this was not a “good optic.” Coach Ben McAdoo even had to defend the facial expression.

"“Odell, the reaction that I saw from the TV copy, to me was, ‘Hey, he made his play and now let’s go make ours,’ ” McAdoo said Monday. “That is really the way we go about it as a team. If we want to be the best in the league at something, let’s be in the best in the league at playing the next play and to me, that was his reaction.’’"

Who made Ben McAdoo a body language expert? Hate to argue, coach, but this was clearly a guy having TOO MUCH fun out there during a LOSS. Beckham needs to have the right amount of fun while remaining serious about doing his job. If that means three straight hours of quietly enjoying himself without letting anyone know how he feels about anything then so be it. Until that happens, Beckham remains a horrible distraction.
