Northwestern Upset Notre Dame 43-40, To Florida State's Chagrin

Northwestern made two clutch field goals and upset Notre Dame 43-40 in overtime. Pat Fitzgerald summed up the game perfectly. The Irish, still Florida State’s best win, may be outside the Top 25 come Tuesday. Not quite playoff material.
Northwestern has beat Wisconsin and Notre Dame this season. They have also lost by 41 to Iowa. The Wildcats can become bowl eligible if they take care of business against Purdue and Illinois.
