Norm Macdonald is one of the most-memorable guests/comedians in David Letterman’s long history hosting late night television. Friday night Macdonald made his final appearance at the Ed Sullivan Theater. The set begins with jokes about LSD, camera phones and Wold Wars I & II, but ended on a genuine moment.

Macdonald retold his favorite Letterman joke — a joke about a garbage truck and then fought back tears saying, “I know that Mr. Letterman is not for the mawkish and he has no truck for the sentimental, but if something is true it is not sentimental. I say in truth, I love you.”

If you ever get bored sitting in front of the computer search “norm letterman” on YouTube. You won’t be disappointed.
