Nine Random NBA Players Made Some Sort of Expendables Parody

This video came out in February, but only has 9,000 views. It features  Amar’e Stoudemire, Iman Shumpert, Chandler Parsons, Corey Brewer , Dwight Howard, DeAndre Jordan, Larry Sanders, Courtney Lee, and DeMarcus Cousins as a sort of group of Expendables knockoffs. It was put together by a sports management company, probably to show off the acting chops of their clients and it is a weird hodgepodge of stereotypes and guys playing against type.

On the one hand you’ve got Larry Sanders as a tech nerd and Boogie Cousins as a wacky inventor. ON the other you’ve got Chandler Parsons as a hair-obsessed playboy and DeAndre Jordan as a goofy martial arts dude. (Yes, that’s D.K. from Tokyo Drift.) And you know that Dwight Howard demanded to play a cool superhero type with a great sense of humor. On top of all that,  you’ve got the random inclusion of Corey Brewer and former Orlando Magic rookie sensation Courtney Lee. It’s all very strange. I’m not even sure if I’d rather see this movie or this same group as an actual NBA team.
