Nick Saban On Playoff Committee Poll Ranking: "Don't Know and Don't Care"

Alabama ranks 6th in the initial college football playoff committee Top 25, behind three SEC West opponents. Nick Saban could not even pretend to care about it.

This is gruff Nick Saban being gruff Nick Saban. But, he’s dead on here. As we touched on yesterday, the preliminary Top 25 rankings serve no purpose but for publicity. It does not matter how the committee weights the merits of SEC West teams mid-season. That’s not a decision the committee will make. It will be settled on the field.
