The New York Mets had a fireworks display on July 3rd. About 7 minutes into the video, the fireworks cut out and a video starts to play on the big screen. An inspiring message of patriotism? No. Stock footage of Fred Lynn hitting the only grand slam in All-Star game history. Not once, but twice. While fans booed, someone messed up and played a Doc Gooden strikeout clip that got the fans back on CitiField’s side. Eventually, someone figured out what to do and got the fireworks and bastardized mega-song mix going again.

And it wouldn’t the 4th of July if I didn’t post this amazing fireworks fail video from 2011.
